Lanzarote in the Canary Islands has been a popular tourist destination for many years, and the Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K races have grown in popularity and reputation with runners from all over. This is a well organised event on a flat and fast course along the coast which attractedthree of our club runners for this years event.
In the 10km run Laura Girard finished the very long 10km run (6.6 miles….run Nation maybe??) in 1:27:18 with mum Rachel finishing in 2hrs 3 despite not running for 6 months. Husband Iain running in the half marathon, finished in 2hrs 5 minutes.
Good efforts by all especially in the warmer climate.
