Last weekend certainly was a busy one for our Under 13 superstar, Gabby Hall. Not only did she come away from the Northern Championships with a fantastic result, the very next day she had her running gear on again ready for the Wynyard 5k Trail Race. The run took the 187 competitors round the scenic trails and surroundings of Wynyard Woodland Park, offering a mix of multi-terrain and plenty of challenges along the way.
According to her coach, Phil Teece, Gabby had “a very controlled run throughout the race,” which obviously worked well as she was the 1st female to cross the line, finishing in an impressive time of 22.31
Time for a rest after all that you would think…..but not for Gabby. The very next day she was part of her school Under 12/13 team taking part in the Red House Invitation Cross Country…..and yes, you’ve guessed it, Gabby won her race, which also helped her friends from Yarm School win the team event for the first time in 10 years. Wow, what a weekend! Fantastic effort, Gabby, tremendous.
