Go to the Join page and you will find our membership options with pricing.

Q. When does the membership period run from and to?

Memberships run yearly from 1st April to 31st March

Whether you’re a new member, or renewing an existing membership, the process is the same. In all cases, payment should be made by 1st May.

Q. I didn’t receive an email about payment, what do I do?

Please check your Spam/Junk folders to ensure it’s not gone into there, and if you know how, ensure noreply@englandathletics.org is whitelisted or added to your safe senders list. You can also log on to the UKA portal and pay directly.

Training

(back to index)

Q. When do you train?

Club training nights are typically on a Tuesday and Thursday evening, though some training groups may arrange sessions outside of these days as required.

Q. Where do you train?

Sessions can take place in a variety of environments, dependent on the group you’re training with. We have a lot of track sessions for both Juniors and Seniors, and these take place at Eastbourne Sports Complex, but some sessions can be road-based, or in a park for something like hill or cross-country training. There’s something for everyone.

Q. What training sessions do you have available?

Take a look at our Training page for upcoming sessions. This provides an overview of the available training and, if so wished, how to book on to a session.

Q. When do these sessions take place

For scheduling, please visit our Training page where you’ll find dates and times of upcoming sessions.

Q. Where do the sessions take place?

All sessions currently take place @ Eastbourne Leisure Centre

Q. When are new sessions made available for booking?

We hope to make these available each Friday morning (at the latest) for the week ahead, but this may vary. We may also attempt to publish sessions 2 to 3 weeks in advance if we can confirm coach availability ahead of time.

Q. Can I just bring my child along to the sessions?

Unfortunately not. All children should be booked in to the session beforehand and will be turned away on the day if their name is not on our attendee list. You can book on via the Training page.

Q. Is there a wait list for places?

Hopefully not, but where demands outstrips available places, we will inform any enquirers that they can be added to a wait list and we’ll contact you when places are available.

Q. Why are places on the sessions limited?

Eastbourne, to help numbers on site and to comply with safety regulations during the COVID-19 period, have imposed a limit of 12 athletes per 1 coach. Whilst we usually have 4 coaches in attendance, this can be affected by many factors. We absolutely don’t want to turn children away if we can help it, but our hands are tied until we get the go-ahead to increase the athlete/coach ratio. The number of coaches in attendance is shown on the Training page.

Q. When I try to book my child onto a session, I’m redirected to a login page. Why is this?

To access club sessions, you must already be a paid member or have a Trialist account set up, which gives you 4 weeks access to our website and be able to book onto sessions. If you then decide to keep coming, you will need to take out an annual club membership.

Q. My credentials are not accepted when I try to log in? How can I reset my password?

To reset your password, visit the Reset Password page. When you get there, enter the email address (or username) associated with your account, and click the Reset Password button.

If the email address is valid, you will receive an email with a link from which you can reset your password and then log in.

If you continue to have issues, please use the Contact page to get in touch.

Q. I’ve been told by account has “expired”. What do I need to do?

Your Trialist account will last for 4 weeks. After this time, if your child wants to keep attending (hopefully they have enjoyed it!), then you need to visit the Membership page and complete the form. Once that process completes, your account will be converted to a full member account and we’ll let you know when it’s good to go.

Q. After logging in, how do I book on to the session?

  1. Open the Training page
  2. Locate the session you wish to attend and click BOOK (example below). This section gives you all of the session information (date/time/location/coaches)

3. Once you’re happy with the details, click Add To Basket

4. This will add the item to your basket, as shown below. Click View Basket

5. Your basket will now display, and you should see 1 item of the session you want. Please note multiple bookings cannot be made, you need to book each child individually if you have more than one in attendance. Confirm that all looks OK and click Proceed To Checkout

6. Whilst the below is for demo purposes only (please change the details as needed), complete the form as required and then click Place Order

7. Once that is done, you should get the following screen that confirms you booking, and an email address with the same information will be sent to you. Please use the Order Number in all communications about your booking.

Q. I have a booking for the session, but I now need to cancel. How do I do that?

We understand things crop up, and can easily cancel your childs place on the session. Please give us as much notice as possible so that we can allocate the place to somebody else.

To do this, please use the Contact page to get in touch – using your order number as the subject (where possible, but your child’s name will also work if you don’t have the order number). We’ll then get that cancelled as soon as possible.

Q. I tried to book but the session was already full.

We monitor overall numbers in the group and try to provide capacity for all. However, whether it be coach availability or a week where everybody wants to come, there will be weeks where it’s not possible to have everybody in attendance. We obviously try to keep these to a minimum, therefore it’s a first-come-first-served basis for bookings so please try to get yourself booked on early to avoid disappointment.
