Sunday saw nine of our Harriers head to the big smoke for one of the six Major marathons, London. With weather conditions slightly cooler than 2018 (at least 10 degrees!!) it was a great day to experience the amazing experience of London. Despite his chip timing not working, Paul Cook was first across the line in 3:16:58 ahead of Dave McKenna 3:18 and Linda Noble 3:19:59 (23rd in her age category).
Richard Bowes achieved a new personal best finishing in 3:48:52 ahead of both Pauline Brown in 3:56:01 and Anne Hutchinson in 4:14:41 who both put in strong performances. Anthony Seaman was next home in 4:29 despite carrying an injury from the off ahead of debutant Wes Atkins in 4:39:31 and John Cook 4:41:54 who achieved a new best on the day by 4 minutes. Brilliant experience, congratulations to you all.
