David McKenna and partner Sarah Guy had polar opposite days at last Sunday’s Fryupdale Half marathon. The Fryup series has three events on the day comprising of a 10km race, a full and half marathon across challenging trail paths in various locations of the North Yorkshire Moors.
Dave finished 4th overall on the day in 2:19:58 but was third male home, picking up a trophy in the process.
Unfortunately, and unbeknown to Dave, his girlfriend had taken a nasty tumble which resulted in a number of hospital trips and a lengthy spell on the side-lines as Sarah was later diagnosed with a bleed on the brain.
Congratulations Dave and speedy recovery Sarah, we hope to see you back in action soon….but not too soon!!
