On a wet Sunday morning in Leeds, a good turnout stood shivering awaiting the start of the TNT (Temple Newsam Ten), a race which sees competitors undertake an undulating course off road with some testing hills along the way.
This year seemed particularly difficult, with a number of wet days leading up to the event leaving some parts of the course with deep water to wade through.
On the day it was ‘roadrunner’ Paul Cook who was first home in 45th place in 71:44, with Maria Daniels first lady home in 400th position in a time of 97:01. A great event with a good course, especially in better conditions, and a good medal, t-shirt and goody bag; definitely a race to return to.
Congratulations to all Harriers, regardless of time or position, because getting round was an achievement today!
