How do I?….

Race Results

Charlotte Rutter and Elizabeth Clay were in competition in Gateshead Stadium at the midweek Indoor 60m sprint race. Running in separate heats Charlotte finished in 8.26 seconds in round 1 and 8.30 in round 2. Elizabeth recorded a new personal best of 8.63 seconds finishing 2nd in her heat. Well done girls. Results from the day can be found here

Amy Pickworth was our only Harrier in NE XC Masters action this weekend, racing over an approximate 3.5mile course. Amy had an excellent run finishing in an impressive 3rd place in the V35 category. Great work Amy! Results can be found here

3rd place for Amy

We had two of our senior runners at the Dewsbury 10km race on Sunday morning, a fast race which sees runners running 3 miles out on a slight incline before turning and heading down the decent back to the finish. This can be a great event and can lead to some quick times and our athletes didn’t disappoint. John Clifford was first of our two home in another solid performance finishing in 33.35 for 33rd place overall but 1st V50 with Andrew Bainbridge 230th in a big personal best of 38.15, first time under the 40 minute barrier so a really big PB for him. Great running gentleman. Full results can be found here

The race was won by Spenborough and District AC’s Joe Sagar in 30:37 with Wakefield Harriers’ Mark Bostock second (31:21) and Ilkley Harriers’ Nathan Edmondson third (31:31).
Leeds City AC’s Rhianne Hughes led the women’s field home with a time of 34:33, ahead of club mate Alice Leake (35:07) and Laura Smith, from Hallamshire Harriers (35:40).

Results at the windy Richmond XC will be covered in next weeks round up once results have been released.
