Wednesday night saw a number of our Harriers head to Locke Parke for the 5 mile Pie & Peas race. Our Seniors clearly hungry for racing took on this twisty 5 lap race which now follows the parkrun route which takes place on a Saturday morning. Some excellent performances from all of the senior crew, Chris Fothergill taking top honours again finishing in 3rd place and Paul Allan making a return to racing after a number of months out of action. Age graded prizes also awarded on the night benefiting two of our group. Well done everyone.

Sunday saw Simon Daniels head to Sunderland for the mornings Pier 2 Pier race, a race which doesn’t have a specific distance but has runners starting on the beach at one pier and finish on the beach at the next pier around 7 miles away. On the day our solo harrier finished in 53:45. Apparently Simon only raced on the day due to Pier pressure……i’m here all week!
