Twenty Two and counting for Sergeant Wilko

On Saturday afternoon….twas the Ninth of June, a number of Harriers headed to Newcastle to take on one of the oldest races in the country, the Blaydon race, a 5.67mile race that takes runners from Newcastle City Centre along the Scotswood road to the finish. Like many races of late this was another warm one for the runners but I have no doubt that a few ‘cool down drinks’ were had by the crew post race.

Some excellent results from everyone again. As a special note this was Steve Wilkinson’s 22nd Blaydon race which is an incredible achievement given he claims he is only 27! Full results can be found here
