Third place for Moses at British Championships

On Sunday afternoon everyone was tuned in to watch Lewis Moses competing at the British Championships 3000m race in Birmingham. In a strong field, it was always going to be a fast and furious pace with the winning time likely to be sub 8minutes. As expected the pace was quick from the off, to the point I tweaked my hamstring watching!

Lewis allowed the early pace setters to pull a few metres ahead and set into a good rhythm without losing sight of the front runners. With a few laps to go the pace picked up another notch and Lewis started to wind things up moving effortlessly through into third place and closing down on 2nd place as he ran out of track before he had chance to take silver. Still a fantastic 7:56 and a new personal best.

Outstanding to watch, especially in the Harriers kit despite the race organisers having Lewis as a Gateshead! Inspirational running Lewis.
