We had five of our Senior Group at the RAF Spadeadam Half marathon on Sunday, a Half Marathon course that offers stunning views along its length, winding its way around and through Spadeadam Forest with views over to the Lake District and Sycamore Gap on Hadrians Wall.
The course also offers numerous RAF practise targets and tanks (you are welcome) along the route, it is a run that offers a unique opportunity along with the 1300ft ascent and 1300ft descent making this a real rollercoaster course.
Tony Williamson was first home in 49th place in 1:54:23 followed by Simon Daniels in 2:04:02 and wife Maria 154th in 2:14:35. Danielle Clark was next back in 318th place in 2:45:33 three places ahead of Andrea Reese in 2:46:53.
