Wild Boar results
Last week we told you that some of our senior men were in action at the Really Wild Boar fell race in Sedbergh. Results are now out and in a very strong field of fell runners we saw some very impressive results. Well done all.

On Sunday morning we had a number of Harriers taking on the multi lap race at Redcar Locke 10. Some impressive performances on the day with Shaun Marshall the first Harrier home on the day. Well done everyone who competed
Kim Reeve and son Joe along with Peter Foulds were in action at the Rabbit 5k at Whitby. Three great performances on the day for this little off roader with Kim finishing 2nd lady and young Joe winning the whole race. Well done all three of you.
Sunday morning also saw a number of Harriers head to the hilly Richmond 10k. A tough race by anyone’s standards with a few tough climbs throughout the 6.2miles making this a non PB course. On Saturday we had a small number of Harriers taking on the Hardmoors 60 mile race. I’m not sure if you all deserve a medal or just locking up and having the key thrown away! Massive respect to you all. Official results have yet to be released but here is what we know.
Last week the Sedbergh Hills fell race took place, and by all accounts it was a little bit brutal over the 14 mile course with over 6000ft of ascent. Results are now in…great effort just to get round!! Well done all.
Sunday saw the return of the Alistair Brownlee 5km race, a flat and fast (well until the flyover at least) 5km race which ends up in Middlesbrough Football Club Riverside stadium. Last Wednesday, 2nd July saw the return of the clubs annual Pitstop events which are held on Croft Circuit. A nice alternative to the regular road races, athletes young and old race around the 2.2mile circuit which is normally associated with motor racing. Today saw the first ever Northallerton 10km race so the club seniors headed to the town to show their support with some excellent results. The course starts and finishes in the town with a climb up the top then a really fast finish back down towards the finish. Colin Taylor was first home for the

Often described as the friendliest and most beautiful UK marathon, finish this breath taking course, amidst a carnival atmosphere, in the grounds of Brathay Hall with stunning views over England’s largest lake. We gad three of our runners in action today at the Upper Eden Mountain Yomp. The Full Yomp Race (38k, 1300 metre height gain) starts with a 11am mass start at Kirkby Stephen Grammar School and heads South out of town and past Wharton Hall, continuing over Wild Boar Fell and on to Swarth Fell
The usual suspects were back at the Swaledale marathon, the 24 mile race is very popular and has been running, pardon the pun, since 1979. Dave McKenna was the first of our athletes home finishing in 28th place but great performances from all our athletes on the day. Full race results can be found here
Peter Foulds was our only runner at the Bridlington Five this weekend. Peter, looking very relaxed in the photo below finished the course which has been marked near as dam 5miles in 35:40. Great work Peter
An exciting introduction to the Dales Trail Series with testing ascents, spectacular ridge-running and fast technical descents. Now in its second year, this is a fully marked route which starts and finishes in Reeth, Swaledale. Results have been published here
