Sunday saw a number of Harriers at the Vale of York Half Marathon. This race is similar to January’s Brass Monkey where the course is predominately flat with a few slight inclines along the route but nothing that should worry runners.
Paul Cook managed to push in the last 5km to creep away from training partners Simon Rogers and Sharon Barlow to finish 23rd in 1.19.35 and 4th V40 with Simon two places behind in 1.20.10 5th V45 and Sharon four places further back in 1.20.40 but 2nd in the F35 race behind elite athlete Susan Partridge. Steve Elliott was next Harrier over the line in 189th in 1.34.51 with Paul Keedy 227th in 1.37.12. Great running by all five of you.
