Four Harriers headed to the Yorkshire Moors to take on the Captain Cook’s Fell race, part of the Dae Perry Winter Fell race series.
This event is approximately 5miles and another event which is of mixed terrain. Starting on road, runners are taken onto a bridleway before starting a steep muddy climb up Captain Cook’s monument, down the other side onto a forest road, over a muddy field before returning to the road briefly before the final slog across muddy fields to Great Ayton.
Dave McKenna was first of the quartet back in 38:48 mins, Mark Tallon following in 46:17 and the two Sarah’s Tomlinson 50:16 and Guy 50:17 finishing roughly together.
Well done all four of you.
