Sammy the snake was nowhere to be seen as runners took to the start of the Phoenix marathon.
The Marathon has a beautiful race course that begins below the large white Phoenix sign painted on the Usery Mountain. Marathon runners then experience nearly 1000 feet of net elevation loss in this fast Boston Qualifier…if only all races were downhill!! Sarah smashed this one finishing in a superb 4 hours and 8 minutes! Fantastic achievement and one which I’m sure your mum is looking down on you very proud.
