Julie Richardson was making her marathon debut on Sunday as she took on the Edinburgh 26.2m event. Fast and flat, this course was voted the fastest marathon in the UK by Runners World, ideal for any marathon runner.
This race sells out year on year and is the second largest marathon in the UK, behind only London. Julie did fantastic finishing in 5:05:24 while experienced runner Alison Matthews once again finishing in 3:12:33. in the half marathon Graham Bell (not pictured) was first home in 1:39:06 ahead of Michael Dolan who achieved a new PB of 1:42:31 ahead of Emma and Gary Morley (1:47:47 / 1:52:25) and Dave Smith in 1:56:20 which was also a new personal best for him. Cracking results ladies and gents!
