It’s raining PB’s in York

York was the destination for some this weekend as runners took on both the 10mile race as well as the marathon. These popular and picturesque routes both have PB potential as the routes are flat and fast.
The event takes participants past some of the beautiful city of York’s splendid historic sites and along scenic country lanes, making it an attractive prospect for runners of all abilities.

Described by the Daily Mirror as the Number 1 Alternative to the London Marathon and by the Guardian as a course on which to smash your PB, it’s no wonder this race is getting more and more popular each year.
Some huge achievements on the day, many personal bests across with runners taking off a huge amount of time from their previous bests from both races including an hour from Zoe Rogers previous.

In the 10 mile race, Darren Thompson took the honours finishing in 60:51 for 29th place with Tony Winward first across the line in the marathon in 3:26:55 for 609th place. Awesome results from everyone.
PB’s for Amanda, Kelly, Mary (pictured with Jenn), Anth, (Steve) Zoe and Tony. Full results can be found here
