Last Thursday, Darlington’s best young cross country runners gathered at Eastbourne Sports Complex for the annual Primary School Cross Country Championships. One of those was a young Harrier we’ve not heard of much, but one we believe has real potential; Hugo Douglas-Reeves.
Representing Abbey School in the Year 5 race, he pulled out all the stops to cross the line in first place! Well done Hugo, a fantastic performance! He will now go on to represent Darlington at the Tees Valley Cross Country Championships in a couple of weeks time – where he hopes to repeat last year’s victory in the Year 3/4 race.
He was also recently invited to join the Darlington junior development swimming squad – a triathlete in the making perhaps? Obviously a talented lad, and certainly one to watch. Glad to have you on board, Hugo
