Saturday morning saw a number of Harriers head to Kirkby to take on the High Cup Nick Fell race a 15km race with 450 metres of ascent. The route takes runners on the edge of the Eden Valley to the amazing High Cup Nick before returning mostly along the Pennine Way into scenic village of Dufton.
The Race starts and finishes on the Village Green and is a crucial fund raiser for the upkeep of the local village hall…and competitors receive complimentary soup and roll. Home made cakes are also on sale which will suit other local running clubs…..
Results have yet to be released but in the interim, here’s a photo of Ronnie Read and Michael Watson who completed the race. Looks like you’ve enjoyed it lads….well at least one of you anyway!
