On Sunday we had a handful of athletes at the Branches and Bay 10km race. The race forms part of the 2018 Urban Trails series of races by Trail Outlaws.
Set in a beautiful and historic area of County Durham the Branches and Bays 10k starts in the local village of Hawthorn, the route takes runners through the Durham Wildlife Trust and National Trust managed woodland of Hawthorn Dene. Then the running of the Bays of Hawthorn Hive and The Blast Beach.
Danielle Clark was first Harrier home in 305th place ahead of Andrea Reese 320th and Penny Ivison 339th.
