Great Turnout From DHAC Juniors

The weather may not have been the best, but there was still a healthy number of blue and white vest on Tuesday, at the second of the NYSD meetings.

This time it was the turn of Middlesbrough Sports Village to play host to this popular evening event. It was great to see a full compliment of Junior Harriers ranging from the Under 11’s up to the more seasoned athletes of the Under 15’s and Under 17’s.

Not just a good turnout, but some tremendous performances too. If you haven’t already seen them, you can check out the full results here

There were plenty more notable performances from our Juniors:

Lily Thompson won the U13 Discus, throwing 16.63m; Rosie Thompson won the U17 Discus, throwing 22.3m; Darcey did the double by winning the long jump, jumping 3.83m; U13, Ashton Harrison was back after a great NEYDL to come 2nd in his 800m and 3rd in the long jump;

Niamh Bishop took 3rd place in the U15 100m; Great runs from Jess Hall and Mia Wetherill who finished 2nd and 4th in the U15 800m; A strong run from Ella Lee finishing 5th in the U17 100m;

And top running from Catherine Roberts and Megan Noble who were the 1st and 3rd U17F across the line.

A fabulous team effort, well done to all!
