We had six of our Harriers in action at the Great North West Half Marathon on Sunday morning.
For those who may wish to do this race, it’s a flat and fast course and ideal for personal bests….with one snag; it’s in Blackpool in February so conditions are rarely perfect!
There’s definitely been worse conditions for this race but winds of up to 30mph would certainly hinder then help runners as athletes run loops of the course.
Nev Ford in just under 1 hour 32 was the first of our Harriers home, followed by Tony Williams who achieved a new PB on the day in 1:41:27 for 170th position.
Michael Watson was next home in 295th in 1:49:49 ahead of Michael Cooper in 322nd in 1:52:10. Wes Atkins finished 625th in 2:07:17 with Sally Dale in 1013th in 2:35:14.
Well done all of you.
