The third race to take place on New Years Day was the annual Captain Cook’s fell race, now in it’s 37th year, over at Great Ayton, with all proceeds from the race donated to local charities and good causes.
The event is held over a mixed terrain course of 8km (5 miles) with 318 metres (1043 feet) of ascent.
First home for the club was Jade Hutchinson finishing 104th in 41.08 as well as being 3rd U23F to cross the line, followed by Graham O’Hara in 219th position in 47.07.
In 285th position Val Clarke crossed in a time of 50.41, finishing 2nd F60 for yet another podium finish, with Club Vice Chair Julian Pinkney 357th in 54.50.
