On a very busy week for athletes, Peter Armstrong, Dave McKenna and Sarah Guy headed to Tholthrope to take on the local 10km race. The race is now in its 23rd year and is a well-respected, friendly event, which attracts entrants from a wide area. The attractive but undulating course passes through local countryside and finishes on the Village Green by the duck pond.
In a close finish, Peter Armstrong edged past Dave McKenna to finish in 40:30 and 43rd place, one place and two seconds ahead. Sarah Guy also had a strong run finishing in 53 minutes on a non flat route.
