Plenty Endeavour at Midweek 5km

The Endeavour events are getting very popular with the local club members with monthly alternate events from 1 mile to 5km. The course is 1km in length so it does mean multiple laps but that also helps with pace judgement.

Some really great runs from everyone on the night, wannabe Darlington Harrier Dean Newton took the win in a fantastic 14:56 for first place but both Lee Johnson and Wes Tarn, finishing second and third respectively, also finished with huge personal bests.

Shaun Marshall was only four seconds outside of his best and an impressive run by Barry Talman saw him achieve a personal best of 17:47 ahead of Simon Rogers in 18:08 and there were also bests for Adam Harker (18:25) and Karl Hume (18:32).

Louise Talman finished in 18:36 for first lady, new boy Jack Gladman a new personal best in 19:16 with Dana Birkett in 31:01, returning to racing after a few weeks out of action.

Excellent results all round!
