Yesterday evening, several of our juniors gathered at Darlington College to attend the Grand Final of the annual Darlington Sports Winner’s Scheme.
There were nominations for Alex Boyer, Tori Buckley, Lily Large, Harriet Rogers, Rosie & Lily Thompson and Freya Talman in the Secondary School Sports Achievers group, with Alex being awarded third place.
Hugo Douglas-Reeves was runner up in the Primary School Sports Achiever category.
Freya Talman won the Special Achievement award for completing the cross country having lost both trainers!
Congratulations to all our Junior Harriers who were nominated this year; what a talented bunch you are.
In addition, Paul Harker attended after being nominated for his dedication to the sport and the work he does in his role as Coach.
Paul was beaten to first place, which certainly didn’t happen too often in his athletic career, but a runners up medal was just rewards for a man who dedicates a huge amount of time to athletes and who is always available for guidance.
