Race Results
Jade Hutchinson was our only athlete at Sunday’s Snake Lane 10 mile race, an undulating race which sees athletes complete a big loop before returning to the starting point. The wind has dropped significantly over the last few days (it’s about time!!) but runners reported a headwind as they headed towards the finish. Jade had a great run finishing in a time of 68.27 for a new personal best, well done Jade!

Sunday also see the club have a good turnout at the local Baydale Beck 5k race which is one of 6 races from the Winter Trail Series held in and around Darlington. Results for this event have yet to be released so we will cover this one next week. Well done all our club members who ran and a big shout out to the couch 2 5k group who under Michael and Jen’s stewardship we hope to see in club colours this season. More next week.

Shirley Gibson was in competition at the Wokingham Half marathon, an event which has been producing super fast times since 1984. Starting and finishing at Cantley Park the race runs on fast, flat rural roads and each year produces outstanding performances. Shirley finished the half in 2:08 exactly. Competing in the F70 category so up against runners a few years her junior finishing 5th. Full results can be found here
