Race Results
As mentioned in last weeks round up, Mark Tallon and his band of helpers held the fifth Kieran Maxwell Open to support Kieran’s Legacy Charity and to remember our much missed former athlete.
Some amazing results from our club members right across the age groups which can be found below, but if you don’t remember Kieran at the club if he was before you joined the club or just want to know a little more about him and the legacy that exists today, click here
Full results from the day can be found here with photographs from Karen Harland here
Wednesday evening saw the club supporting another Charity, Children With Cancer in the form of a 5km fun run. Once again the evening weather was kind to runners and supporters to make the evening a success. Huge thank you to those supporting Paul Cook as run director, Trevor McDermot, Izzy Wilkinson, Kelly Sloan, Sam Richardson, Nicky Young, Wes Tarn, Jeff Miller, Catherine Anderson, Karen Harland, Barry Foster, Sarah Johnson and Wendy Thompson.
Results from the nights run can be found here with Karen Harland’s photos here
Friday saw the return of the much anticipated Mermaid 10km, a race which hasn’t been back on the race calendar for a few years. This race is flat which makes it a really good race to clock a solid time or potentially even a personal best and some of our athletes didn’t disappoint. With three of our athletes finishing in the top 10 with strong performances from the boys the team also accumulated the lowest scoring on the day.
Unfortunately we had a faller on the day as Shirley Gibson took a tumble resulting in a fractured elbow. Speedy recovery Shirley. Well done everyone, great to see so many Harriers competing together again.

Saturday Saw Ted Kerby as our only competitor at the Newport to Ryde Multi Terrain 7 mile race, a race which occurs on Easter Saturday each year and has a course which is undulating throughout. Running with his brother on the day, ted finished the course in around 59 minutes. Results will be released here when available.
