Darren Gee and Amanda Waller were back in ultra distance action this weekend as they took on the Round Rotherham Run. Rowbotham’s Round Rotherham International Trail Event is a whole 80 km, (or 50 miles in real money) with an undulating route with, overall, 800 m of climb through the South Yorkshire Forest. Most of this trail is mainly rural land of South Yorkshire rather than a vast area of woodland.
Both runners did great, Darren finishing in 8 hours 38:16 for 23rd place and Amanda 11 hours 20. Amazing effort from you both to complete the course.
