The event will start and finish in the beautiful village of Osmotherley. The route takes competitors out of the village on the Cleveland Way to the mast at Beacon Hill before heading back towards Cod Beck Reservoir. A short road section back to Square Corner… this is where the serious climbing begins on the long route, upwards onto the Black Hambleton Hills, where the views on a clear day takes your breath away.
Runners stay high for 3 miles before dropping back down towards Square Corner, returning to Osmotherley via the Cleveland Way. The route is well marked and follows public footpaths and bridleways at all times. Dave McKenna finished in 8th place with Heather Mochrie 10th with Corinne Murray 15th.
