Club Development Officer Paul Cook introduced a new club badge as well as outsourcing the manufacturing of the vest and a whole range of wear and accessories to mysportswear, based in Darlington. This removed the need to manage the supply and demand of kit but allowed our athletes to have a more modern looking kit but one which highlights some of the heritage of the town.
the two blue stripes remain on the vest and now can be seen on the badge alongside the Town Clock, Joseph Pease statue and the Brick Train all of which captures the towns current sight seeing attractions but also reflects the train industry which is prominent in the town and Joseph Pease’s influence.
In addition to these points, the club badge also contains the club motto, club established date and the actual shape of the badge is the shape of the DL postcode area as this great club is for all of people of Darlington.
