On Sunday morning a small group of Harriers headed north to take on Dalton Park 10k, a race which was postponed from December due to poor weather conditions. Run Nation designed this race “for those looking for a flatter/faster run” giving runners a “great opportunity to get a personal best for 10k” …and the runners …
On Sunday morning at Middlesbrough, another large contingent of Harriers (over 80) were contesting the Tees Pride 10k, a one loop course known for it’s fast course so always PB potential. Another excellent turnout by the club, great work!
Richard Easterbrook was in action midweek at the Quayside 5k in Newcastle . Richard who can be seen sporting the ‘Robert Austin’ styled headwear along the Quayside. Richard had a good run finishing 311th in 26:24 and 77th in his category. Well done Richard.

Saturday saw the return of the Hetton Lions 2.2mile relay event, an event which has women in teams of four and men teams of six completing the undulating route before passing the baton to their team mate. Richard Easterbrook was our only Harrier in action at todays Great SOuth 5km run in Portsmouth. Richard finished this flat and fast race in 24.52 for 109th position. Full results can be found here

The rebirth of the Darlington Harrier Senior section at the Darlington 10k 2015. A year earlier only 12 seniors turned out for the home race to around 70 a year later.
