We had a big turn out on tonight’s Blaydon race, a 5.67mile race which takes place on the 9th of June each year. The Blaydon Race is an athletic race from Newcastle upon Tyne to Blaydon, following the famous 1862 Geordie folk song. Phil Teece was first of the group to finish in 32 minutes
This week saw the annual NYMAC relays, the 4 x 1mile event around Stewarts Park in Middlesbrough which is always popular amongst the running clubs. Another excellent night with loads of great performances throughout the club. Full results can be found here
Raby Castle was the destination this Sunday as huge turnout of Harriers tested their skills on the hilly and testing course around the grounds. Phil Teece was in superb form at East Hull’s 20 mile race today. Phil became UK’s Number 1 over the distance in 2016 after smashing in 2.02.27 over the course. Incredible achievement. Prize winners can be found here
We had two of our runners at the Masters XC event at Wallsend today. Competing in the 7.9km race it was Paul Helliwell who was first of our runners to finish, in 19th place and 4th V45 with Dan Hunter a solid 56th place. Phil Teece finished in 24th position, showing as running for Stockton
Phil Teece was in action this weekend at the TCS Amsterdam Marathon, a flat and fast marathon and a great event to do along with the 8km and half marathons that occur over the weekend. Phil, who has been in exceptional form again finished 202nd overall in an impressive 2.50.05 and 2nd V55. Incredible running
The rebirth of the Darlington Harrier Senior section at the Darlington 10k 2015. A year earlier only 12 seniors turned out for the home race to around 70 a year later. This race sees competitors complete two laps of the course before bringing runners back along Skinnergate and onto High Row for the Grandstand finish. Full results can
