It was another good showing from the club seniors at today’s Thirsk 10 mile race, a race which is an early test of fitness after the early months of endurance building. Today was a windy day making it tough for runners around the course. Paul Allan was first home for the club in 36th place
There was another large turnout at this years Darlington 10km race, a race which sees runners racing from the back of Boyes completing two laps of a 3 mile route before turning onto Skinnergate and onto High Row for a finish in front of everyone’s friends and families. We had a huge turnout at the clubs home race, the pitstop 10km which takes place at Croft race circuit and sees competitors undertake 3 laps of the race. We had a big turn out on tonight’s Blaydon race, a 5.67mile race which takes place on the 9th of June each year. The Blaydon Race is an athletic race from Newcastle upon Tyne to Blaydon, following the famous 1862 Geordie folk song. Phil Teece was first of the group to finish in 32 minutes
