Penny Skilton and Lou Kavanagh were in action this Sunday at the Falls and Castle Trail race, a race which covers 7 miles from Boldon Castle, near Leyburn. Both of our ladies made it round in one piece but both confirmed it was hard work for all competitors. Well done both of you! Results yet
Thursday night saw another large turnout at the NYMAC relays at Stewarts Park. This event is always well organised and an excellent chance for members to get together and form teams of 4 regardless of speed. We had three of our athletes taking on the Wainstones events this weekend. Strangely the 10km race is 9.5miles, the Half Marathon is 16.5 and the marathon 28.5miles. In the 10k Matt Capsey finished in an impressive 7th place in 1:24:48 while Penny Skilton battled away in the half to finish 157th in 6:09:22. David
Saturday saw Penny Skilton head to Kielder, supported by Matt Capsey to run the Kielder 20 mile trail run. The 20 mile route is a shortened version of the ultra. Starting from Kielder Castle the course follows the same route as the ultra to CP1 at Kielder Dam.The route then returns along the Lakeside Way
Last Saturday morning the club held the Croft 5km event at the named racing circuit on the outskirts of town. After the anomalies had been ironed out the results have now been published on Racebest. Croft race circuit is always a little controversial as people run a variety of distances depending on the route taken

On Thursday evening 60 Harriers were on show at the NYMAC relays, a 4 person team relay each runner taking on a 1 mile loop around Stewart park Middlesboro. The course takes runners down a small bank which enables runners to get off to a quick start before levelling out until around 400m to go
Richmond was the final destination for this seasons NYSD Cross Country last Sunday morning. Conditions were quite good with little wind to impact athletes on the open course.
