Thursday night saw another large turnout at the NYMAC relays at Stewarts Park. This event is always well organised and an excellent chance for members to get together and form teams of 4 regardless of speed. Sunday saw the club enter teams into the Northern Road relays at Birkenhead for the first time since 1977, an event which sees runners run laps of 4 or 8km. A popularrace on the racing calendar is the Marina 5miler at Hartlepool, an out and back event along the coastline. On Sunday morning on home turf, the Darlington Harriers were out in force as nearly 200 club runners pulled on their club vest to run in both the Darlington 3k and 10k races.
