We had another good turnout at the midweek Locke Parke Pie and Peas 5mile race, a race which sees competitors complete 5, 1 mile laps around the flat and fast park. Shaun Marshall was first home for the club in 13th place in 31.13, Louise Talman first lady and 2nd overall in 33.11 in 23rd
Sunday saw a number of our Harriers at the London Marathon, a race which takes athletes round our nations capital passing all the great landmarks including the Cutty Sark, Buckingham Palace and Big Ben. Louise Talman was one of the Harriers amongst the prizes at this weekends Locke Park 20mile race, a race which sees competitors completing 20 laps of the local park. Andrew Park was first home for the club in 18th place with sister Louise 2nd lady in 24th place, supported by husband Barry in 25th. Full

Friday night saw a huge turn out at the annual clubs presentation evening at Central Hall Dolphin Centre. A fantastic night for the club rewarding many of our athletes for some incredible performances over the season.

The rebirth of the Darlington Harrier Senior section at the Darlington 10k 2015. A year earlier only 12 seniors turned out for the home race to around 70 a year later. Louise and Barry Talman along with Garry Collinson were involved in the Butterwick Hamsterley Forest 10km race this weekend. Louise and husband Barry running together finished 13th and 14th in 45.43 with Louise picking up prize for first lady across the line. Garry finished 19th in 47.36 from the 137 runners. Louise Talman placed first at the Gerry Kearsley Handicap which is run in January and July over a multi terrain route on trails around Fishburn and Bishop Middleham.
