Sunday saw the annual McTaggart Trot, an event which sees runners placed in teams of three (one 3.7mile runner, a medium paced 7.5mile runner and a longer distance runner covering 11 miles) who have to run through each checkpoint together, losing one runner at each point leaving the longer distance to the finish. On a busy Sunday morning, a large contingent of Harriers headed to Ripley near Harrogate to run the Guy Fawkes 10 mile event, an event which has some challenging hills and more importantly lots of chocolate goodies for all finishers!! Another race to take place on Sunday was the popular Scarbrough 10km event. Runners start at the Spa Complex, onto South Bay foreshore, Sandside, Marine Drive and around the Castle Headland.
