Today saw the return of the Darlington 10km race after a two year gap due to the Covid situation making last years event a virtual one. This event clashed with the last senior Track & Field event with promotion and possible championship on the line so for once numbers weren’t as high as usual but
At last week’s Darlington Trail Series, race 6, The Baydale Beck 5km Dylan Wilson was actually first Harrier home finishing in 5th place finishing in a time of 20:46 four seconds ahead of Andrew Bainbridge who I reported took top honours for first club runner home.Well done Dylan, terrific running.
Kevin Wilson let a large number of Harriers home at the midweeks Darlington Trail Series. The weather in Darlington during the week in excess of 40 degrees in some locations making running difficult for all competitors. On the evening and in a field of 115 runners, Kevin finished 14th in 22:52 with wife Sarah first
The Gerry Kearsley Handicap is run in January and July over a multi terrain route on trails around Fishburn and Bishop Middleham and is free to enter.Handicapping is based on 10k times. The name of the winner is engraved on the Gerry Kearsley Handicap shield. Results are shown below. Well done all of you.
At the midweekMuddy Roads Tees Trail Series at Newham Grange we had eight Harriers running the 5k trail race. Some impressive running from all on show on the evening, well done all.
