James Birnie was due to be in action at the Milton Keynes half marathon a race which runs along the Grand Union Canal and returns via the Linear parks throughout the area. Unfortunately due to snow the race has been cancelled. So in it’s place, here’s a picture of Weekend at Bernie’s.
James Birnie was in action this weekend at Herbert Hole Challenge, an approximate 10km race which sees runners take on a multi terrain course. James finished in an excellent 11th place, three minutes faster than 2016 and picked up the team prize for the second consecutive year as part of his 1st claim club Gade
James Birnie who has been training with the club over the last few weeks has joined the club as a 2nd claim runner whilst he is working in the area. James who finished London marathon this year in an excellent 2:58 was also racing on Saturday for Gade Valley in a local XC event finishing
