Race Results We had five of our Senior athletes head to Ribble Valley for Monday mornings 10k race, a race which included the North of England 10k Championships. The race itself is a fast one which attracts some very speedy competitors meaning a sub 34minute 10km may just scrape you in the top 100! Lee

Today saw the first event of the 2019-2020 Cross Country season at Acklam, Middlesbrough. Sunday saw a number of Harriers make the start line for the Manchester Marathon. It was another great turnout at Ormesby Hall today with many great performances from both our junior and senior athletes. Many of our age categories claimed 1st team overall for the day making this yet another successful day for our club. Full results can be found here
At last weeks cross country, both teams again had a good turnout with excellent results. In the ladies race, Bernadette Caygill was 6th across the line, sisters Sue Phillips and Linda Noble 17th and 18th respectively with Val Clarke 23rd making it a strong top 4. Last Sunday a number of Harriers headed to Whitby, a place where many club runners are scared after last years atrocious conditions. Bernadette Caygill kicked things off for the ladies finishing 9th, jade Hutchinson 12th with Linda Noble 19th . Daughter Megan made up the point scorers in 25th place giving the women an overall
Harrier ladies had a fantastic opening race to the cross country season at a wet and muddy Acklam. Ellie Phillips put in a superb performance to finish 8th ahead of mum Sue Phillips 11th and Auntie Linda Noble 16th with Pauline Brown and Megan Noble fighting it out for 28th and 29th places. Last Sunday saw the first race of the Cross Country take place at the Flatts, Thirsk. Results are now out which saw our ladies senior team take 3rd spot and the men in 6th. Great to see many Harriers making their debut on the day.
With the nights rainfall and cool morning temperatures, for once athletes were looking forward to a cool run probably for the first time in several months. Richmond was the final destination for this seasons NYSD Cross Country last Sunday morning. Conditions were quite good with little wind to impact athletes on the open course.
