Last Saturday morning the club held the Croft 5km event at the named racing circuit on the outskirts of town. After the anomalies had been ironed out the results have now been published on Racebest. Croft race circuit is always a little controversial as people run a variety of distances depending on the route taken
Harrier ladies had a fantastic opening race to the cross country season at a wet and muddy Acklam. Ellie Phillips put in a superb performance to finish 8th ahead of mum Sue Phillips 11th and Auntie Linda Noble 16th with Pauline Brown and Megan Noble fighting it out for 28th and 29th places. On late Sunday morning into early afternoon a number of hardened Harriers headed to Acklam to take on the first of the seasons XC events.The weather had been pretty awful for a few days leading up to Sunday and unfortunately the weather didn’t get much better on the day with heavy rain throughout the races
Last Sunday saw the first race of the Cross Country take place at the Flatts, Thirsk. Results are now out which saw our ladies senior team take 3rd spot and the men in 6th. Great to see many Harriers making their debut on the day.
On Thursday evening 60 Harriers were on show at the NYMAC relays, a 4 person team relay each runner taking on a 1 mile loop around Stewart park Middlesboro. The course takes runners down a small bank which enables runners to get off to a quick start before levelling out until around 400m to go
