On Sunday another race to take place further north was the North Tyneside 10k, one of the most scenic running events in the UK, the route takes in a working Fish Quay, the River Tyne, Tynemouth Priory and Castle, and a long stretch of coastline before finishing at St. Mary’s Lighthouse in Whitley Bay.
Anneli MacKenzie-Brown, a regular in this race was first home of our 3 ladies finishing in 57:25 ahead of Andrea Reese in 63:08 and Penny Ivison 69:10, two minutes quicker than last year.
