Sprint Coach Steve ‘Flash’ Gordon was one of four Harriers involved in the Hamsterley Forest 10km race today. The race is an undulating/hilly route on tracks around the forest and for anyone who has never been to the area, these hills are ‘slightly’ bigger than Squirrel hill that’s found at Darlington Parkrun on a Saturday morning!
Despite the terrain and the distance, Steve was first of our four runners to finish, finishing in 12th place in 48:35. Simon Daniels was next home in 24th place in 51:08 followed by Hamish Laishley in 55:45 and Dana Birkett in 79:15. Well done everyone.
