We had two of our athletes in action at the Cleveland Steelman triathlon today. A 1.3m swim, 56 mile bike effort and a half marathon awaited our two competitors.
Julian was first out of the water in 39 minutes dead with Dave following in a second over 44 minutes but he made up two minutes on the first transition. Dave powered past Julian after a strong bike, finishing in 2hrs 50 and a quick transition into the run with Julian finishing the bike leg in 3hrs 04.
In the run, Dave finished in 1:51:24 despite an Achilles injury for 47th place, with Julian, supported by a number of Harriers, finishing in 2:40 for 126th place.
