The North East Open Kettlebell Championships
Some of you observant folk may have noticed that one of our under 15 boys was missing from the final NEYDL competition …………but with good cause. Benedict Davies was taking part in the North East Open Kettlebell Competition. There were competitors from far and wide, even including someone from Australia! Our very own Benedict competed in a 10 minute Long Cycle and a further 10 minute Snatch and received a gold medal in both. Not only that, but he won an additional trophy for the overall junior male, what an accolade.
Well done, Benedict! A little dickie bird also tells us that this was a family double, as his mother, Rachael, also competed and won a gold medal!
